Tie The Knot Thursday….The Dress

Picking your dress is one of the first things you do, and it sets the tone for the whole affair. I loved this info graphic to show all the different styles and descriptions. The biggest piece of dress advice I can give is to try on multiple styles- not multiple dresses of the same style. There are so many different options, whats currently “all the rage” may not work for your body top. Secondly, pick a dress style that fits your venue and the style of your wedding. If you are getting married on the beach, then a ball gown style is probably not the best selection- not only will it trap loads of sand, but I am betting your wedding style is not over the top princess.

Selecting a dress is the rite of passage into being a bride. That first fitting can be overwhelming and amazing all at the same time. Its a fun process though so enjoy it, and take your time…unless your wedding is in less than 6 months…and then GO! Good luck!
