Margo + Matthew:: The Sanchez House and Fountain of Youth :: Saint Augustine Florida Wedding Photography

Thank you Margo and Matthew for allowing us to be a part of your amazing wedding day- from the perfect vintage family touches, to the first explosion of the canon, your wedding was stunningly perfect- and filled with crazy amounts of love! I hope this each day of your lives together are as magical as your wedding day!  Congratulations!

How did you two meet?
A mutual friend introduced us. They picked me up in this beat-up, old Cadillac and we drove around St. Augustine Beach. We hit it off immediately and started dating a couple days later. I took a picture of us with my phone that day. I love that we have a picture from the day we met.

How did he propose?
We had been dating for 2 months when we spontaneously decided to drive to Key West, twice! When we got back the second time we went to dinner at Saltwater Cowboys. After dinner he stopped at the jewelry quarter machine by the door. It gave him a gold colored tin ring. He knelt down right there by the door and asked me to marry him. I said yes!

How did you choose your theme? Flowers? and overall wedding design?
We wanted a very vintage feel. Once we booked the Sanchez House and the Fountain of Youth everything just feel into place. Both places provided the perfect backdrop. My father was the real designer. He orchestrated the entire event beautifully! From the vintage postcard guest book to the lighting in the courtyard, he gave every detail the utmost attention. We couldn’t have done it without him!

What was the best part of your wedding day?
Walking towards Mathew at the ceremony. I thought I may burst! Until I saw him I was so nervous, but when I took his hands it all went away and I was just happy, happy, happy!

What do you want to always remember from your wedding day?
That feeling of total joy. Everything felt right. We were surrounded by people that loved us and that made our day perfect.

“IF I only I knew!” what is one piece of advise you would give to brides planning their wedding day?
A friend told me to just enjoy the day and don’t worry about things you cannot change. Don’t get worked up about the details, they make it much sweeter but you can’t plan everything. Some things just need to happen naturally.

And where are you going on your honeymoon?
