Liz and Brett :: Seranata Beach Club :: Jacksonville Wedding Giveaway

Liz and Brett were the winners of The Jacksonville Wedding giveaway this year, and were so amazing to work with. If you dont know about this Jacksonville Tradition, its a wedding that Channel 4 and Jacksonville Magazine give away to one lucky couple. It was an absolutely fabulous event- even though all of us were up at sunset. I dont even want to know what time Liz started.

These two were amazing to work with, Brett adores this woman to the moon and back which makes working with them so much fun. And Liz, well her smile lights up a room! Thank you two for finding me, for allowing me to be part of your love story. I know this road will be amazing and sometimes crazy- remember how happy you two are together!

How did you two meet? Match.com

How did he propose? Had planned dinner at the beach but I surprised him with a Lucy sleepover (my now 5 year old niece) and that ring was burning a hole in his pocket so instead of waiting he took both us girls out to dinner and after Lucy was home and asleep got down on one knee right there in our bedroom.

How did you choose your theme? Flowers? and overall wedding design? We wanted clean and classic. Brett and I enjoy the water so we went with a more nautical feel with the navy and yellow colors but steered away from the obvious nautical symbolism of the anchors and buoys.

What was the best part of your wedding day? For me, it was OUR KISS! It truly felt like sealing the deal! I may have even gone in for 2 or 3.

What do you want to always remember from your wedding day? The almost palpable feeling of love surrounding Brett and I. There were so many faces in the crowd from all over and the idea that they were all there, in one place, for Brett and I was a bit overwhelming.

“IF I only knew!” what is one piece of advise you would give to brides planning their wedding day? Get the big things checked off the list quickly so you can start on the finishing touches. The little things DO matter and can make a big difference and you don’t want to be elbows deep in hot glue and ribbon the night before your big day! Take a moment during the reception to step away and just look around. Take a deep breath and enjoy what you’ve created. It goes by SO quickly.

And where are you going on your honeymoon? We spent the first 3 nights in an AMAZING balcony room in Ocean Key Resort Key West overlooking the end of the Key and Mallory Square. We we’re able to mix drinks and relax on our balcony listening to the street performers below and watching the sun set. We spent the next 2 days in Deerfield Beach, FL in a room overlooking the beach and pier. We spent the entire time eating yummy foods and rolled each other back to the hotel room both evenings.
