Lauren + Brandon :: White Room Wedding :: Saint Augustine Wedding Photography

Its my first Zeta! Of course, I did not know that when I booked their wedding. I was in the room with lauren doing the getting ready shots when someone tossed out “sorority pose”. I, of course, asked which sorority, and found out that most of the maids were all Zeta’s! The crew even did the pinning song during the reception, which I have not sung since 98! It brought tears to my eyes! What a fun FUN experience to photograph one of my sisters!

The Fabulous Yurman ring that Laurean got as her wedding gift- yes, I tried to take it as my own- Mark if you are reading- LOVE THIS!

I love when my clients see each other before the wedding, makes for the most romantic part of the day, as well as less stress for them!

As

Its my Zeta crew! I love the big sis, grand big sis combo, and flinging those crowns around!

{Sigh} why I love shooting at sunset. This is some delicious light after the sun has set…

Oh yes, I cried! The Pinning song done by all her Zeta sisters. I have not done this since 98, and it made me weepy! ZLAM!!

deiugHow did you two meet?
Brandon and Lauren met in high school. We had known each other for several years and didn’t really become friends until my junior year and his sophomore year of high school. We immediately became friends and soon after started dating!  8 years later and here we are!

How did he propose?
Brandon proposed to after dinner with his parents on October 29, 2011. He really wanted the proposal to be a surprise — but after dinner (where he had picked up the ring), he could tell I was catching on and decided at the last minute to propose when we stopped at my parent’s house to feed their fish. He got down on his knee and asked me to marry him. It was just the two of us- A sweet romantic moment I will never forget.

How did you choose your theme? Flowers? and overall wedding design?
I wanted a very traditional style wedding, with lots of flowers and candle light. When I found the White Room I knew it was the perfect spot to have my dream wedding. I fell in love with the brick on the inside walls and the hardwood floors just made the space look so beautiful. I chose champagne and purple as my colors because I thought these were really classy and didn’t stand out like some other colors do. The White Room was already really pretty on its own so I didn’t need many decorations, I chose to have a lot of flowers all around the room, making good use of my bridesmaids bouquets and little tea candles to light up the room. I had champagne colored table clothes and brought in purple accidents with the menus and table numbers.

What was the best part of your wedding day?
The best part of my wedding day was our last dance. All of our guests had left the room and Brandon and I were able to have our last dance just the two of us. The band played “At Last” and we were able to reflect on the night before we had our grand exit. It was something I will never forget and something I would recommend for every bride to do!

What do you want to always remember from your wedding day?
I always want to remember how much fun we had, which I don’t think is going to be hard. All of our family and friends being in one place, dancing on the dance floor and celebrating with us is one of the best feelings ever.

“IF I only I knew!” what is one piece of advise you would give to brides planning their wedding day?
One piece of advice I can give is after the wedding take a day or two to relax. Don’t book at 6AM flight the day after your wedding, you will hate yourself! Relax and enjoy being married and NOT wedding planning anymore!

And where are you going on your honeymoon?
We went to Ashville, NC and stayed at the Biltmore Village Inn. We had a beautiful secluded cottage with a back patio and Jacuzzi. Being in the mountains after a whirlwind week of wedding craziness was the most relaxing and rejuvenating experience! We visited the Biltmore Mansion and toured the town of Ashville, checking out all the cute shops and breweries! After a three day vacation in Ashville we traveled to Nashville, TN. We stayed at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and visited many historical country music sites as well as the honky tonks! It was a great honeymoon and we can’t wait to go back on a future vacation!

Lauren and Brandon- we had a BLAST! Thank you for allowing us to be part of your day- its an honor we dont take lightly!
